To enter, send us an email at sweepstakes@911day.org with the sweepstakes you wish to enter, your full name, email, day-time phone number, a statement that you are 18 years of age or older, the name of the school where you work, and the full address of your school. MyGoodDeed reserves the right to end, or withdraw its sweepstakes programs at any time and without notice.
For this and all of our Sweepstakes programs, you may only enter ONE TIME per calendar year, regardless of the email address you may use. Any additional entries that are submitted will be considered void, and ineligible for any prizes.
Grand Prize: Three (3) entrants (the “Winners”) will each receive round trip coach air transportation to New York City for two persons (Winner and one guest) between the major gateway airport closest to Winner’s residence (as determined by MyGoodDeed) and a New York City metro area airport of MyGoodDeed’s choice; hotel accommodations consisting of one (1) room (with a maximum of quad occupancy) for three (3) night(s) at a hotel selected by MyGoodDeed at its sole discretion, based on availability around the time of the event; and two (4) General Museum Admission tickets to the National September 11 National Memorial & Museum. Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of prize package: $3,000. Actual retail value of Grand Prize may vary due to factors such as Winner’s place of residence, and fluctuations in airfares, and the difference between the stated ARV and the actual value, if any, will not be awarded in any form.
The travel companion (or the Winner, if a travel companion is a permissible minor) must sign and return a Liability/Publicity Release as a condition of accompanying Winner on prize trip. All prizes are non-transferable, non-assignable and no cash alternative will be offered, except in the event of unavailability, as determined solely by the discretion of 9/11 Day, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. All federal, state and local income taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Winners are solely responsible for all trip expenses not specified herein as being awarded, including, without limitation, travel and other insurance, meals, hotel room service, laundry service, merchandise, souvenirs, local and long distance telephone calls, and gratuities. Travel arrangements must be made through MyGoodDeed, on a carrier of MyGoodDeed’s choice. If Winner lives within a 100-mile radius of New York City, round-trip airfare will not be provided. In lieu of airfare, the Winner will receive $500, which the Winner may use at his/her discretion, including to cover ground transportation or other expenses. All other expenses as noted, other than airfare, will be provided. The Winner and his/her travel companion will be required to provide valid government-issued photographic ID and/or other required travel documents, such as a valid passport, at time of travel. The Winner and his/her travel companion are responsible for obtaining such travel documents. If Winner cancels the trip at any time, is deemed ineligible to receive the prize for any reason, or cannot or does not wish to accept the prize, the Winner agrees to forfeit the Grand Prize immediately, in its entirety, and MyGoodDeed may, in its sole discretion, award the Grand Prize (time permitting) to an alternate Winner in a random drawing from among the remaining entries received. Certain travel restrictions may apply.
Second and Third Place Prizes: Two (2) entrants (the “Second Place Winners”) will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Each Winner will receive one (1) Apple iPadAir device. Four (4) entrants (the “Third Place Winners”) win a $100 Amazon gift card.
As of June 1, 2023, the approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Apple iPadAir is $800. Actual retail value of Grand Prize may vary due to factors such as Winner’s place of residence, and fluctuations in price. The difference between the stated ARV and the actual value, if any, will not be awarded in any form.
Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. Prizes are non-transferable, not returnable, and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash. If no prize substitution is available, a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.
