John Feal

John was a demolition supervisor for the clean-up after 9/11. During his work, a steel beam fell and crushed part of his foot, requiring partial amputation. His experience led him to start the FealGood Foundation, which successfully lobbied Congress to secure passage of The James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010, which now provides health monitoring, compensation and health benefits to the first responders, volunteers, and survivors of the September 11 attacks.
